Women Reps in Kenya are representatives elected from each county by registered voters to the national assembly to represent the will of the people, discuss government policies, make laws, vet public appointees, and most importantly oversight the government by ensuring that the constitution is duly followed.
The position was created as an affirmative action to ensure that more women are elected to the national assembly so represent the interests of women in parliament. 47 women are elected by voters while some are nominated.

Duke Mainga Ondiba, popularly known as Echate is a young visionary leader from Kisii County. He hails from Bomachoge Borabu Constituency, which is one of the nine constituencies in Kisii County.
Duke Mainga was born on 10th August, 1991. Therefore, he is 31 years old. His place of birth is Riribe village in Kenyenya Su-County.

Duke Mainga has been singing for a while but it wasn’t until he was appointed as the CEC for Culture, Sports, Youth and Social Services. He was appointed after unsuccessfully vying to be the Member of Parliament for Bomachoge Borabu Constituency, becoming the youngest County CEC in the country at the time.
He served in the position for five years and used the limelight to promote his and other Kisii artists’ music careers.
In 2022, he had another unsuccessful bid for MP on a UDA ticket.

Silvanus Osoro is a prominent politician from South Mugirango. He is known for his wealth of experience in business, politics, and governance. He has been in the forefront in championing for the interests of William Ruto and his UDA political party in Kisii region. At one time the MP stood up to defend William Ruto from negative claims made by ODM’s Simba Arati on stage. He was kicked down by the then Dagoretti MP.

Rosemary Wahu Kagwi, is professionally known by her mononym Wahu. She is a Kenyan vocalist musician, style model, entertainer, and business person. Wahu was born in 1980, making her 42 years old as of 2022.

Edgar Obare is a Kenyan blogger who relies on his followers for juicy exposes on celebrities.
His approach, which includes providing evidence for what he claims has earned him an admirable following online. He has had his Instagram accounts closed more than twice and stood right up. Edgar Obare currently has no Instagram account under his handle but he continues to do what he used to do under his BNN Africa account, albeit differently. Professor George Magoha is a Kenyan consultant surgeon, academic, academic administrator, and technocrat. His full name is George Albert Omore Magoha. The current CS for education in Kenya was a Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nairobi from 2005 until 2015.
He was born in Gem, Siaya County in 1952, so he is 70 years old. He is married to Dr. Barbara O Essien Magoha, obstetrician-gynecologist, since 1982. The two met in the University of Lagos. She is working in Kenya as a consultant obstetrician and gynecologist at Kenyatta National Hospital and as a lecturer at the University of Nairobi. She holds a Master of Medicine (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) from the University of Nairobi. She has a son with Professor Magoha.
Their son, Dr. Michael Magoha, is an alumnus of Strathmore and Brookhouse School. He graduated from the University of Nairobi’s School of Medicine in 2009 and furthered in neurosurgery in 2011.
Professor Magoha was appointed chairman, dean, and principal in the College of Health of Sciences and later deputy vice-chancellor at the University of Nairobi, in quick succession. In 2005 was appointed the vice-chancellor of the UoN, having scored the highest among the applicants. In 2016, he was appointed the Chairman of the Kenya National Examination Council by President Uhuru Kenyatta. On 1 March 2019, he was nominated as the Cabinet Secretary for Education in the Kenyan Cabinet and was sworn in on 26 March 2019, replacing Amina Mohamed.
