The beautiful woman who caught the eye and stole the heart of Dr. Jose Chameleone is called Daniella Atim Mayanja.

Daniella is a beautiful light-skinned woman from the Acholi tribe, which is something that Jose Chameleone’s late father seemed to have had a problem with. According to the Tubonge hitmaker, his father wanted him to marry from his Buganda tribe.

Chameleone’s wife’s birth parents are not publicly known. However, she was adopted and raised by the Italian Catholic priest, Father John Scalabrini, with whom she had a very close relationship and considered him her real father and best friend. When Father Scalabrini passed on in 2016, Daniella inherited his vast properties, including schools, hospitals, and real estate.

How did Jose Chameleone and his wife meet?

The love story of one of Uganda’s power couples began on one evening in 2003 when the two were introduced to each other by a mutual friend at the Alligators bar, Garden City in Kampala.

Their romance did not bloom immediately, as Daniella Mayanja had her reservations about Jose Chameleone- the musician had dreadlocks at the time, which Daniella associated with gangsters.

She eventually warmed up to him, and aren’t we just glad that things worked out?

In their almost 14 years of marriage, the Valu Valu hitmaker and his wife have been blessed with five children- Abba Marcus Mayanja, Alfa Joseph Mayanja, Alba Shyne Mayanja, Amma Christian Mayanja, and Xara Amani Mayanja.

Chameleone also has an older daughter called Ayla Mayanja with a Belgium ex-girlfriend named Griet Onsea, aka Dorotia.

Did Daniella divorce Chameleone?

In 2018, Chameleone’s wife filed for a divorce from him, claiming that Jose Chameleone was an abusive drunkard who assaulted both her and her children.

Their marriage which is far from over was saved when the two later opted for an out-of-court settlement and reconciled.

Daniella later relocated to the US, where she lives with her children, who attend school there. Chameleone, who is mainly based in Uganda, where most of his businesses and fans are, frequently visits his family and shares the cutest photos of his children and wife.

Chamelone’s wife’s court case

In December 2012, Daniella was arrested and charged in court for fighting in a public place with a Dembe FM Radio journalist identified as Isaac Katende.

According to an anonymous source, the fight ensued when the journalist called Daniella and informed her that he would be running a ‘dirty’ article about her.

Daniella denied the charges and was released on a Sh.2 million cash bail.

Daniella Atim social media

Unlike her husband, who is very active on social media, Daniella Atim Mayanja is almost untraceable on Facebook and Twitter. She has an Instagram account, @daniellaatim, with 24.6K followers, but the account is private.

Jose Chameleon’s children

Many know Joseph Mayanja as Jose Chameleone the legendary musician, but to his family, he is a husband, a brother, a son, and a father. Chameleone has always portrayed himself as a family man. He has been married twice and from the two marriages, he has six children.

Jose Chameleone’s firstborn is from his first marriage to Griet Onsea. The rest of Jose Chameleon’s children are from his marriage with Daniella Atim, his second wife.

While the two who tied the knot in 2008 in one of the biggest weddings of the decade have had their share of marriage drama and scandals as expected with a celebrity couple, they definitely draw their pride from the cute souls they are raising together.

In this article, we take a look at Jose Chameleon’s children; their names, education, interests, and where they currently are.

Ayla Onsea Mayanja.

The first of Jose Chameleone’s children is the beautiful Ayla Onsea Mayanja who was born in May 2002 while Chameleon was married to his Belgian lover Griet Onsea alias Dorotia.

The two are said to have met in Nairobi while Chameleon was frequenting Kenya to win the music lovers there. He was so in love with her that his famous Dorotia song was inspired by her.

Their marriage, however, did not work out and Dorotia had to leave Uganda with a young Ayla. It was widely reported that in 2007 Chameleone fought very hard to get Ayla’s custody after Griet was allegedly arrested and sentenced to prison in Belgium for being in possession of drugs.

There is no doubt that Chameleone is very fond of his eldest child as he always posts Ayla on his social media on her birthdays as he does with all his other children.

At the moment Ayla is still in Belgium living with her mother. In 2020, she graduated from the university and Jose Chameleone could not hide his joy at his eldest child’s huge milestone.

Abba Marcus Mayanja

Abba Marcus Mayanja is the second of Jose Chameleone’s children and the first child that the Tubonge hitmaker has with his second wife. At his tender age, Marcus has already made a name for himself as a professional swimmer.

His most notable achievement is when he broke a record during a swimming competition in Cool Rapids, Minnesota in the USA where they relocated to in 2019. The record had been there for more than 30 years and his father could not be more proud.

The 16-year-old seems to be focused on creating his own path as he has tried and excelled in different fields already. He is the first of Jose Chameleone’s children to try out music as he recorded and released a song called Game Over going by the name T-Rex. It is still unclear if he will pursue music in the future or if he will follow another career path. One thing that is certain is that he is destined for greatness.

Alfa Joseph Mayanja

The third of Jose Chameleon’s children is named after the celebrated singer turned politician. Alfa Joseph Mayanja Junior also follows his big brother’s footsteps and has shown an interest in swimming. Chameleon has always been seen around the two boys most of the time compared to the other of his children.

They were however separated for some time due to the covid lockdown that found the kids and Daniella in the USA.

Alba Shyne Mayanja

After the two boys, Daniella and Chameleon were blessed with a beautiful girl whom they named Alba Shyne. She celebrates her birthday every February 8th. The fourth of Jose Chameleone’s children turned 10 this year and the Valu Valu singer took to social media to wish his daughter all the best.

His fans have noticed the striking resemblance between Chameleon and his princess Alba. She also studies in the United States where they now live with their mother Daniella.

Amma Christian Mayanja

Jose Chameleon’s child number five is his son Amma Christian. The 8-year-old adorable boy celebrates his birthday on 11th of July every year.

He is the last boy in the Chameleone household and seems to have his father’s big heart. Like his older siblings, Christian studies in the US too.

Xara Amani Mayanja

Born in the United States in 2018, Xara is the last of Jose Chameleon’s children, well at least for now. The young girl just turned four recently and she looks so much like her mother Daniella.

While all her older siblings are currently in school, it is not clear if she has already started any form of education yet.

Is Jose Chameleone still with Daniella Atim?

In 2018, Jose Chameleone and the mother of his children briefly separated and even almost got divorced.

The two however patched things up and although they live on different continents, they seem to be on great terms and they are doing a great job of raising their children.

We wish the Chameleone’s household the very best and hope the kids can grow and blossom into the best versions of themselves.

In 2000, Jose Chameleon joined the famed Kenyan music production house and record label Ogopa Deejays. Along with Kenyan artist Redsan, who was also part of the label, Jose Chameleon released his first hit single “Bageya”. The song ruled the airwaves and put Chameleon on the map.

Is there any wealthy celebrity that hasn’t been linked with the Illuminati? Jose Chameleon’s is one of the long lists of Ugandan musicians rumoured to be part of the Illuminati. His success raises eyebrows for some who think the source of his never-ending riches come from the secret society.

However, the “Valu Valu” singer refuted the allegations. He pointed out that he’s worked for his wealth and termed those spreading the rumours as “disillusioned”.

Violent Chameleon

In 2020, Jose Chameleon allegedly attacked one of Digy Baur Sabula Records producers after a slight misunderstanding. The owner of Digy Baur’s Sabula Records fired back at Jose. He said he has demons with which he uses to destroy his enemies.

Producer Digy Baur further alleged that his life was in danger. He sounded a warning that should he die after his altercation with Jose, Chameleon should be held responsible. He further questioned his integrity as at the time, he was running for the Lord Mayoral seat.

Human sacrifice

Apart from being linked with Illuminati, Jose Chameleon has been accused of human sacrifice. In 2013, the death of Robert Karamagi which happened at Jose Chameleon’s place fuelled speculation of the musician’s involvement in the death.

The late Robert allegedly torched himself for unknown reasons. As soon as investigations were opened, Jose Chameleon reported a case of trespass into his home. Details of the investigations were never made public.

Jose Chameleon has also been accused of sacrificing his younger brother, the late Emmanuel Mayanja aka AK 47. This came as rumours of his association with the Illuminati surfaced.

Jose Chameleon came out strongly and refuted the claims. He pointed to his religion as the reason why the reports were false. Further, he said that poor people blamed the wealthy for problems they have nothing to do with.

Jose Chameleon also has another house in Seguku. He has put his matrimonial home on sale. This does not come as a surprise as Jose Chameleon’s plan to move out can be traced back to 2013 when a young man Robert Karamangi died in his house. He was linked with his death.

Ugandan celebrities living positively

Even though a lot of sensitization about how HIV is spread has been done since it was first reported in Uganda, there is still so much stigma that surrounds the virus, making it hard for a lot of people to openly reveal their status.

Despite that challenge, some people have been bold enough to disclose their HIV status and along with living positively, they have also been actively championing for the end of stigma as well as promoting its prevention.

We have identified a few celebrities who are living positively and educating the world about HIV, Uganda is proud of them.

Since revealing his status, MC Kats has been on a mission to create awareness about HIV/AIDS and end the stigmatization associated with it.

Matovu Joy Aloysious

Aloysious is one of the people who prove that being HIV positive is not the end of the world, he has been living positively for more than 30 years now.

The 62-year-old teacher, actor, singer, businessman, counselor, and politician was diagnosed with HIV while living in London where he was a teacher.

He however soon came to terms with his status which has been key in helping him live for a long time with the virus.

Matovu has been advocating for HIV prevention for a long time now. Soon after accepting his status, he founded Alina Talents which has been sensitizing young people on the need to practice safe sex, get circumcised, and use ARV drugs properly to manage the spread of HIV through entertainment.

Best deejays in Uganda

The entertainment industry as we know it wouldn’t be the same without deejays. Deejays not only play our favorite hits as we sing and dance along, but they also hype us and their mixtapes are to die for.

While traditionally deejays’ gigs were centred at events and clubs, they have evolved and are quickly dominating other scenes of the industry too like radio and television.

Gandalebs looks at some of Uganda’s top deejays who have made a name for themselves and are living up to it.

Besides his musical collaboration with artists to produce hit songs, DJ Roja also works alongside DVJ Mercy Pro at NBS TV for NBS After 5 show and he is a presenter at NXT radio.

It appears that his gamble of leaving engineering for deejaying was a good one as he is minting money from his spinning fingers.

DJ Slick Stuart

DJ Slick Stuart a.ka. Stuart Kavuma is the other half of the popular Stuart and Roja duo.

While his partner started on a different path before joining the deejaying world, DJ Slick Stuart always knew what he wanted to do from a young age given that his late father owned a Disco and he used to sneak in and practice on the machines.

For someone who is really passionate about his career, DJ Slick Stuart is reaping hard from his talents.

Alongside his other hustles, DJ Slick Stuart currently hosts a show at NXT radio called Transit from Monday to Friday.

With his partner, DJ Roja, Slick Stuart has been a recipient of several awards over the years including ‘Wickedest Dj of the Year’ in the 2016 Buzz Teens Awards and ‘Best Dj of The Year’ by Hipipo music awards, 2017.

DJ Nimrod has been a recipient of several awards among them- Best radio host in the 2017 Uganda Entertainment Awards.

DJ Apeman is one of the most expensive deejays and definitely also one of the most successful ones as well.

The founder and CEO of Silverback Deejays started his career back when he lived in the UK. He began spinning at house parties before moving to clubs and bars. By the time he returned home, DJ Apeman was quite a pro which earned him a spot at Club Rouge.

Other than the UK, Apeman has also performed in other countries too like Germany and Denmark, and has hosted several big events.

He nurtures other budding deejays at his deejaying school.

DJ Ali Breezy

Our list would be incomplete without talking about this award-winning deejay.

DJ Ali Breezy has always loved music, in fact, growing up his loved ones thought he would be a musician, well it appears their guess was not completely wrong as he now plays music as his full-time gig.

Currently, DJ Ali Breezy works with Vision Group at Bukedde FM, XFM, Kampala Sun, and Urban Television- talk about dominating the media industry.

In 2021, after being nominated for five years without a win, he was named ‘Teenz Hottest DJ’ and alongside Abeggume, he was awarded ‘Teenz Hottest Collabo’ at the Teenz Awards.

Yoweri Museveni’s other children

Besides his four children with first lady Janet Museveni, some sources allege that Museveni has two more children with his alleged second wife identified as Enid Kukunda, a daughter called Dr. Angela Nagasha Kakishozi and a son only identified as Joel.

Angela Nagasha Kakishozi is a medical doctor who got married in February 2022 to Gen Henry Tumukunde’s son and was walked down the aisle by Museveni’s brother-General Salim Saleh. Joel on the other hand is an engineer but not much is known about him.
