Ekaterina Leonova was born on April 23, 1987 in Volgograd. She has been dancing since she was ten years old. In 2008 she was elected “Miss Volgograd”. In the same year, the trained dance teacher moved from Russia to Germany and began studying business administration in Cologne. In 2013, the professional dancer took part in the RTL show “Let’s Dance” for the first time and took third place with Paul Janke. The following year she was eliminated along with Patrice Bouédibéla in the first round. In 2015 she came third as a dance partner to Matthias Steiner, and in 2016 she and Julius Brink finished fifth.
