Possible causes of erectile dysfunction in Kenyan men

Erectile dysfunction is very common, but by no means everyone can be treated. The causes of impotence can be diverse.

It is estimated that between 20 and 50 percent of men over the age of thirty suffer from erectile dysfunction. The majority of diseases have physical causes. If the penis does not stiffen enough or an erection does not last long enough to be able to carry out sexual intercourse satisfactorily, this is referred to as an erection disorder, also known as erectile dysfunction. Erectile dysfunction in the medical sense is only given if the symptoms occur in around 70 percent of the attempts and last for more than six months.

The causes of erectile dysfunction

Nowadays, psychological and physical causes are hardly considered separately. Physical risk factors can be diabetes, cardiovascular diseases or obesity. But nerve damage or hormone disorders can also result in potency problems. Psychological factors can exacerbate the problem. However, it is also possible that erectile dysfunction is of a purely psychological nature, for example triggered in times of extreme stress and increased pressure to perform.
