
Licensed microfinance banks in Kenya are institutions licensed by the Central Bank of Kenya to provide financial services to low-income clients. Some of the services and products these institutions offer are loans, savings, insurance, money transfers, and remittances. Microfinance banks have expanded access to financial services in Kenya because they target the unemployed and small entrepreneurs in society who lack access to traditional banking services.
